Opportunities for enjoyment and enrichment are available through a multitude of entertainment venues, cultural programs and fine arts performances and exhibits.

Popular live music acts can be found at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre. The Vogt Visual Arts Center is the setting for many local art exhibits and cultural events and activities.

Classical music and opera are performed throughout the year by several different companies, and Tinley Park Arts Alive! features bands and choirs as well as groups for writing and poetry.

Many events are held in the downtown district, including a summer concert series and a fine arts festival in the fall. Holiday celebrations, farmers’ markets and parades also provide entertainment, shopping and cultural opportunities for people of all ages.

The Tinley Park Public Library is a popular place among people of all ages. The TPPL loans out books, audio books, videos and DVDs, music CDs, magazines and other materials; additionally, patrons have access to the collections of more than 85 other libraries.

Popular meeting areas include the young adult program room and a fully stocked coffeehouse. Additionally, the library hosts book discussion groups, children’s story times, cooking classes and many other gatherings.
