First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre
Formerly known as the Tweeter Center (as well as the World Music Theater and New World Music Theater prior to that), the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre is the entertainment destination of Tinley Park. Recognized as Chicago’s largest outdoor covered music theater, the Amphitheatre draws in hundreds of thousands of patrons each year who have enjoyed concerts by such big-name musicians as Aerosmith, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, George Strait and Kanye West, to name a few. Odyssey Fun World
Families easily spend an entire day at Tinley Park’s Odyssey Fun World, an entertaining indoor and outdoor amusement park. Both children and adults enjoy a host of arcade games, a laser tag arena and three indoor rides, including the Himalaya Roller Coaster, a Ferris wheel and bumper cars. Tinley Park IL Convention Center
Adjoining the Holiday Inn is the expansive Tinley Park Convention Center, a modern exhibition facility comprised of more than 40,000 square feet of event space. The flexible convention center is capable of handling anywhere from five to 5,700 people and hosts a multitude of events each year. Major conferences, banquets, exhibitions, meetings, trade shows and private parties are among the many uses of the conveniently located Tinley Park Convention Center, which offers ample free parking for guests. The facility will be undergoing an expansion, which will incorporate an additional 24,000 square feet of exhibit space and 6,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as an additional 450 parking spaces, a new business center and 68 more hotel rooms in the Holiday Inn. White Water Canyon Water Park
Encompassing five acres of water entertainment, the White Water Canyon Water Park is a great place to spend a day with the family. Operated by the Tinley Park - Park District, the water park features a zero-depth entry pool with an interactive children’s play area, a diving board, and tube and body slides. The Spray Ground is filled with exciting water features, and the 600-foot lazy river is perfect for those in need of some relaxation under the sun. The park also has a sand play area and concession stand stocked with tasty foods, snacks, cold treats and thirst-quenching beverages. Chicagoland Speedway & Route 66 Raceway
The Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway make up one of the most exciting motorsports complexes in the country. It all began in 1997 with the establishment of the Route 66 Raceway, comprised of a 1Ú4-mile drag strip and half-mile dirt oval track. A few years later came the adjacent Chicagoland Speedway, a $130 million facility featuring a 1.5-mile D-shaped tri-oval speedway and a 15-story, 75,000-seat Grandstand. The Route 66 Raceway hosts a number of events throughout the year, notably Pro Stock Bike races and Funny Car races. Among the most popular events held at the Chicagoland Speedway are the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, ARCA RE/MAX Series, Firestone Indy Lights Race, IRL Indy Pro Series, and the USAC Silver Crown Series. Toyota Park
Toyota Park is a state-of-the-art, 469,000-square-foot outdoor stadium a few miles north of Tinley Park. In addition to offering ample meeting and event space, the stadium plays host to three popular sports teams, including Chicago Fire Soccer, Chicago Machine Lacrosse and Chicago Red Stars Soccer, and also offers popular concerts and events in the summertime. Professional Sports
In addition to the sporting events held at Toyota Park, Tinley Park has access to a number of additional professional sports teams. A 10-minute drive to Crestwood brings fans to Standard Bank Stadium (14011 S. Kenton Ave.), home to the Windy City Thunderbolts professional baseball team. A half-hour ride via I-80 West connects Tinley Park with Joliet’s professional baseball team, the Joliet Jackhammers, who play ball at Silver Cross Field (1 Mayor Art Schultz Dr.).

For an even more electric atmosphere, an easy drive to the northeast, or a quick ride on the Metra, will bring sports enthusiasts to the exciting professional sports haven of Chicago.
