In 2006, Tinley Park Economic Development received high honors when the Commerce Department announced the organization as the winner of the 2006 Excellence in Economic Development Award for urban or suburban economic development. Publications:
• Newsletter (Print and Online)—Each month over 500 businesses and community leaders receive a copy of the Tinley Park Chamber Newsletter, which includes a calendar of events, member highlights and community updates.

• Mailbag—Let the Chamber do the work for you! Members can create and print a flyer that will be included in the monthly chamber mailing to over 500 businesses.

Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce Cable Television Program:
Members are invited to be a guest on the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce Cable Television Program. This show, sponsored by the Chamber, is offered to members in good standing and can be seen Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. on channel 4 of your local cable network.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies:
Meet key leaders and fellow business associates in Tinley Park. The Chamber will help a business with promotion, set-up and public relations for this event, as well as provide ceremonial scissors and commemorative ribbon. The Chamber will also provide business owners with a dated and signed certificate recognizing the ceremony, contact Village and Board officials, invite local media, compose press releases and take a picture of the event to provide to the local media.

Small Business Assistance:
Both the Chamber and the Village of Tinley Park recognize the positive economic impact that small businesses have on a community such as ours. There are a number of programs available to assist new and existing businesses in Tinley Park.

• The Low Interest Business Development Loan Program—A public/private partnership between the Village and local participating banks. It is designed to enable local businesses to obtain advantageous financing for capital improvements to help grow their businesses. The project must result in either an increase in local tax revenues or an increase in employment opportunities within the Village.

• The Industrial/Commercial Commission—Promotes the “Shop Tinley” theme through various campaigns.
