Education in Tinley Park
Residents of Tinley Park enjoy the benefits of excellent educational opportunities in and surrounding the community. The area affords high-quality public school systems, an array of outstanding parochial and private education facilities, vocational and technical training, several top-rate community colleges and access to prestigious four-year colleges and universities.
Two elementary-level school districts provide exceptional education to Tinley Park residents. Though Tinley Park students are mostly served by Victor Andrew High School in Consolidated School District 230, a number of other high schools in and around the area cater to the community’s educational needs. Private and parochial high school education is also available through a variety of schools, all located within 30 minutes of Tinley Park.
Several higher education facilities are accessible in and around the area, from two-year community colleges to four-year colleges and universities.
Neighboring Palos Hills is home to Moraine Valley Community College, one of the largest community colleges in the state. Four-year colleges and universities in the area include the satellite campuses of Lewis University and Benedictine University, DeVry University, Joliet Junior College, St. Xavier University, Robert Morris College, St. Francis and extensions of DePaul University and other Chicago and State Universities, as well as the Illinois Institute of Technology at the University and College Center in Oak Forest.
