Waukegan Business Association
The Waukegan Business Association’s mission is threefold: to promote business growth in Waukegan, to serve members with personal and professional development opportunities, and to affect public policy decisions to the benefit of the Waukegan business community.
In addition to the opportunities and benefits available to member businesses, the Waukegan Business Association also facilitates action on issues of larger concern to both businesses and citizens of the area. Committees or task forces are formed within the Association when someone conceives an idea or expresses a concern, which affects the membership or the community at large.
Our Business Growth Council consists of members who work to bring more jobs to the community. This comes in the form of new business and industry and also in helping existing business and industry to expand. More, quality jobs for the people of Waukegan means better business for you and a better community for you, your employees and your families.
Association members are as diverse as the city itself; they represent businesses of all sizes and industries. The Waukegan Business Association is a cooperative, non-profit corporation of member businesses. The Association is not part of government, but works with government to provide the best possible environment for business in our community to prosper.
The Waukegan Business Association is governed by a Board of Directors, which meets monthly and its Executive Committee which is comprised of the chairman, vice chairman, secretary, treasurer and selected board officers.
In addition, the WBA boasts a full-time executive director who helps guide various committees and administers the daily operation of the association’s affairs.
