Healthcare

A grassroots movement led to the 1955 establishment of Community Memorial General Hospital, dedicated as a living memorial to those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Now known as Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, this 223-bed healthcare facility continues to deliver excellent medical care to residents of Chicago’s western suburbs.

With a priority placed on patient-centered care, Adventist La Grange furthered its commitment to patients and the community with the 2006 opening of its patient care center. The 225,000-square-foot addition offers private rooms with bathrooms and showers, sofa beds for guests and Internet access. The hospital is a leader in offering comprehensive oncology services, advanced cardiac care, women’s health and maternity care, emergency, geriatric and many other specialties, including a new Wound Care Center.

The hospital also offers exceptional cardiovascular services, including high-tech diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitation programs for patients with heart disease, as well as a Level II Trauma Department for emergency open-heart surgery, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology studies and device implants.

Since opening in 2007, many hundreds of patients have been served by the hospital’s state-of-the-art Total Joint Center. The program is dedicated to active adults who anticipate a better quality of life with a total joint replacement.

Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital has a focus of providing quality care within a high-tech environment while still maintaining a personal patient touch. Centrally located, within easy walking or driving distance of all residents of the western suburbs, they feel they have the best “close to home” location.

In support of our healthcare needs, our communities are well served by physicians, chiropractors, rehabilitation facilities, therapists, holistic facilities, dentists, specialty hospitals and occupational health facilities. We have many providers of in-home assistance, nursing associations and independent wellness consultants.
