Served by exceptional public schools and a number of private and parochial schools, Woodridge students benefit from knowledgeable and committed faculties, curriculums that ensure academic and personal achievement, active parent groups, and a wide range of extracurricular programs, which combine for an exceptional educational experience for all.

Woodridge School District 68, with administrative offices at 7925 Janes Avenue, operates six elementary schools and one junior high, all conveniently located throughout the Village. These include Edgewood School, Goodrich School, Meadowview School, John L. Sipley School, Willow Creek School, Woodridge School, and Thomas Jefferson Junior High School. All of these schools have been awarded the North Central Association’s Accreditation for scholastic quality.

Other districts serving elementary school students residing in Woodridge include Naperville School District 203, Downers Grove District 58, Center Cass District 66, and the Lemont-Bromberek Combined District 113 A.

Woodridge high school students attend Downers Grove North or Downers Grove South High Schools operated by Community High School District 99 in neighboring Downers Grove. A small portion of Woodridge high school students attend schools in Lemont High School District 210 and Naperville Community School District 203.

Ninety four percent of all Woodridge students graduate from high school, having benefited from a wide variety of academic courses, advanced placement courses, technical training, occupational classes, organized athletic programs, and an array of extracurricular clubs and organizations designed to interest high school students.

In addition to the exceptional public schools, a number of local parochial schools, including St. Scholastica School and Woodridge Christian Academy, both located in Woodridge, offer students and parents additional academic options.

Students of all ages find the resources they need for researching a term paper or selecting a relaxing read at the Woodridge Public Library, located at 3 Plaza Drive. Founded in 1969, the library serves about 29,000 patrons who have library cards and shelves extensive collections of books, magazines, newspapers, videocassettes, compact discs, and books on tape. The library also sponsors preschool story times, after-school programs for grade school children, and a summer reading program. Whenever the library is open, reference librarians are on hand to aid in research and help patrons find the answers to their questions.

The Woodridge Community Resource Center, at 8276 Janes Avenue, offers a variety of classes, including music, art, dance, and other special interest courses and English as a Second Language classes, offered in coordination with the College of DuPage. A Computer Learning Center teaches students basic computer skills in a computer-lab setting. After School Programs are offered to Woodridge students, grades kindergarten through 6th, and consist of tutoring/ mentoring services, homework help, computer skills development, and social activities.
