Drawn by Woodridges convenient location, economic development efforts, highly skilled and well-educated workforce, and hometown amenities, businesses and industries have continually established offices, operational facilities, and corporate headquarters within the Village. Over the past 10 years, Woodridges Office/Research, Light Industrial, and Warehouse Distribution sector have grown dramatically. Wilton Industries, the first industrial company to settle in the Village, is Woodridges largest employer. Other large corporations and major employers with offices or facilities in Woodridge include: Follet Educational Services, V3 Companies, Corporate Express, Champion Packaging, Harlem Furniture, E & J Gallo Wines, Home Run Inn Pizza, Argonne Laboratories, Allstate Insurance, Bridgestone/Firestone, and numerous others. There are seven business parks, either completely developed or under construction, in the Village of Woodridge. Internationale Centre, the largest business park in Woodridge, is located directly south of the 1-355 and I-55 interchanges. The 920-acre business park currently encompasses more than 6.4 million square feet of building space, either existing or under construction. Presently there are 45 buildings housing 56 businesses. At build-out, the Centre is expected to house 7.5 to 8 million square feet of industrial and business space and provide a total of 5,000 to 5,500 jobs. Woodgrove Professional Centre is located at 7425 Janes Avenue. Primarily used by medical offices and related businesses, the Centre provides tenants with a state-of-the-art conference and meeting facility and a fitness center. MidPoint Corporate Center is a 17-acre, master-planned office park consisting of four brick buildings, encompassing about 200,000 square feet of quality office, research, and service center space. Designed as a campus-like setting, the Center is presently home to Westwood College of Technology and Brachs, among others. Waterfall Glen Business Park, located at the southeast corner of I-55 and Lemont Road, was annexed in 1991. The five-lot business park, sited on 28 acres, is home to a variety of companies, including Allstate Insurance Companys 24-hour client information center. North Waterfall Glen Business Park, located on 23 acres of land just south of Timber Trails, is under constructionat build-out the office park is expected to bring nearly 500 Woodridge. Under construction, Maple Point Business Park, located between 103rd Street and Internationale Parkway, will be a 20-acre business park consisting of three or four office, warehouse, and light industrial facilities. The North Lemont Road Redevelopment area, at the northwest corner of Lemont Road and 83rd Street, is zoned for business park, warehouse distribution, or office research uses. It is anticipated that 30 properties in the area will be redeveloped as a planned business park, similar to MidPoint Corporate Center and Waterfall Glen.
