Location & Transportation

graphicLocated in Lake County, Zion is easily accessible from I-94 and U.S. Route 41 via State Route 173. Commuters can board Metra trains to Chicago’s Loop or downtown Milwaukee. Dozens of interstate and intrastate trucking firms serve the needs of local business and industry, as do several package delivery services. Commercial docks are about six miles away for shipments via the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Zion air travelers can use Chicago's O'Hare International Airport to the south, or Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport to the north. Limousine service is available for either airport. Waukegan Regional Airport serves corporate and private aircraft, about 10 minutes from downtown Zion.
