The Zion-Benton Public Library has 33,250 square feet of space and contains 145,000 books, magazines, audio recordings, video recordings, puppets, newspapers, genealogy resources, and local history materials. Area residents also take full advantage of Chicago’s wealth of world-renowned museums, art galleries, opera, symphony, theatres and professional sports teams.

Numerous festivals take place in Zion all year long, and draw big crowds. Just a few of these fun celebrations include Nostalgia Days, held in late June, the Fourth of July Festival, the Jubilee Days Festival around Labor Day, and the Festival of Lights in December.
