Zion-Benton Township High School District 126 has two campuses offering diverse educational opportunities for students. A more traditional education at Horizon campus and project-based learning at New Tech @ Zion-Benton East, as well as college credit courses offered in partnership with the College of Lake County. Each community has a grade and middle school district. Private schools in the area include Our Savior’s Lutheran School in Zion and Our Lady of Humility Catholic School in Beach Park, St. Patrick Catholic School in Wadsworth and Lake County Baptist School in Beach Park. Nearby are the College of Lake County, a two-year community college with campuses in Grayslake, Waukegan and Vernon Hills; Carthage College, a private four-year college in Kenosha, WI; and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha.

Zion-Benton Public Library
The Zion-Benton Public Library has 33,250 square feet of space and contains over 237,000 books, eBooks, audiobooks, puppets, magazines, newspapers, CDs, movies, video games, genealogy resources, and local history materials. Services include public computers, free Wi-Fi, remote printing, electronic resources, public fax, public copiers, programs for all ages, and more!
