Hello, my name is Rick Fledderman. As Batesville’s Mayor, I welcome you to visit one of the best-kept secrets of the Midwest. Nestled in the hills of southeastern Indiana, Batesville has grown to become a thriving city since being founded over 150 years ago. From its early beginnings of mostly German immigrants, Batesville has welcomed residents of many nationalities and continues to evolve as a community committed to faith, family, education and a strong economy. We pride ourselves on community involvement and commitment to making the quality of living in Batesville nothing but the best.
