Boone County, traditionally a farming area, is an excellent blend of small towns, manufacturing and distribution firms, agriculture, and small businesses. Boone County, with its peaceful and scenic setting, is only minutes away from Indianapolis and has all the cultural activities that larger cities offer. The county has over 49,000 residents, and is adjacent to Marion County on the northwest side. Boone County’s two largest communities are Lebanon, the county seat, and Zionsville. Advance, Jamestown, Thorntown, Ulen and Whitestown are the county’s other communities.
