Diversity is the word for business in Brownsburg. Not only is there a strong retail market, but the nationally and locally-owned financial, insurance, legal and medical professions are well represented.

Brownsburg has several light industries including fabrication, a copper and brass distributor and a large volume bakery. Several light industrial parks have been established to allow efficient highway and rail access.

Farming is still a large part of the Brownsburg economy. Representatives from countries around the world have visited for a first-hand look at agriculture at its best. Corn and soybeans top the list of crops grown. Local livestock raised include hogs, cattle and dairy cows.
