No matter the season, Crawfordsville has a full schedule of recreational activities for all ages. Winter activities include cross-country skiing and snowmobiling on the many miles of trails that crisscross the countryside within a short drive. As the weather turns warm, golfers slice and duff at our beautiful and challenging courses. The Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 71 course with a clubhouse, pro shop and snack bar. Swimming at Lake Waveland Beach, the Park pool or at the Crawfordsville Aquatic Center is a popular way to beat the heat during the dog days of summer. Milligan Park is the city’s largest park with 47 acres and full amenities to accommodate fall reunions and holiday gatherings.

Two conservancy districts in the county give our residents immediate access to nature preserves, a new rails-to-trails bike path, and one of the best canoeing creeks in the United States.
