graphicWith a downtown district that is soon to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Kendallville, Indiana reflects an eclectic blend of mid-1800's pioneer spirit, Victorian opulence, 1900's ingenuity, and the cutting-edge technology required to lead the community through the 21st century and beyond. Kendallville is a premier community in which to live, raise your family, and prosper your career.

The census of 2000 records the population of the City of Kendallville as 9,416, while Noble County overall is home to an estimated 46,275.

A progressive yet charming mid-west community, Kendallville is indeed a town "On the Rise", as the city motto states. With economic development as a primary focus for city leaders, the local government offers special incentives to encourage growth. Kendallville enjoys warm summers with variable humidity and moderately cold winters. Pleasant springs and beautiful, crisp autumns round out this four-season area. Temperatures range from a January average of 25 degrees to an average high of 77 in July. Annual precipitation is an estimated 35", with an average snowfall of about 30".

Unique to our community is the inclusion of the beautiful 120-acre Bixler Lake within the heart of the city. Its 527-acres of parkland carves out a generous portion of natural solitude within a mile of City Hall and Historic Main Street.

Kendallville encompasses the very best of village life where all the modern conveniences are right at hand, as are many nostalgic reminders of bygone days. Community spirit runs high in Kendallville, and it shows in our festivals, homes, schools, and businesses....and especially in our people.
