Education
New Castle-Henry County takes great pride in the quality of education provided here. Composed of five distinct school corporations, our public schools offer smaller classes, creating above average SAT scores and graduation rates. Dedicated teachers present a variety of courses designed to meet students’ needs. Opportunities in sports, music, art, drama and vocational areas complete a well-rounded education. Post secondary education is available at Danielson Learning Center in New Castle featuring degree programs from Indiana University, Purdue University and Ivy Tech Community College, which includes a two-year registered nursing degree.
Additional educational opportunities are available at area colleges — including Ball State University, Earlham College, Indiana University East-Richmond, Anderson University and Ivy Tech Community College.
