The Lake County Convention and Visitors Bureau has established itself as a primary source in the search of visitor resources and services in and around Lake County, Indiana. They work with all cities and towns in the county promoting tourism and awareness of local resources, history, attractions and entertainment, creating the image of the ideal “weekend getaway” for those traveling within a 250-mile radius. Their efforts, along with the contributions of those they serve, including St. John, has resulted in increased community visitation and revenue.

Each and every community in Lake County offers residents and travelers alike, a unique blend of activities. These include casinos on Lake Michigan’s shores; a non-stop shopping experience in either large malls with national stores or specialty and antique shops tucked away in many quaint towns in the area; museum and art gallery excursions such as The Steeple Gallery in St. John; bird watching; enjoying any of the area’s 11 county parks; scaling majestic sand dunes; water parks on hot summer days; dining and nightlife.
