Wabash County is blessed with excellent elementary, middle/junior high
schools, high schools, vocational/technical schools, Christian and Catholic
schools, and Manchester College. Manchester Community Schools serves North
Manchester and the community of Laketon with elementary and junior/senior
high schools. North Manchester is also home to Manchester College, a liberal
arts college, founded in 1889. Nestled among hundreds of spiraling oaks
on 120 acres, the nationally ranked campus attracts students from 20 states
and over 20 countries who engage in more than 40 areas of study.
The
Metropolitan School District of Wabash County operates four grade schools
and three high schools. Three grade schools, a middle school, and Wabash
High School make up Wabash City Schools. St. Bernard Catholic School offers
a progressive, value-based curriculum education to grades PK to six, as
does Emmanuel Christian School for grades PK to 12.
Heartland
Career Center provides area students work experience in vocational and
technical trades at the high school level. Ivy Tech State College is an
accredited, state funded, two-year college teaching post high school vocational
and technical studies.
