Ankeny Education
Many choices on the education path are offered in Ankeny. Seven different public elementary schools give children a foundation of knowledge.
Then these scattered groups of minds are united at Parkview Middle School for grades six and seven and Northview Middle School for grades eight and nine. Ankeny students complete their public education at Ankeny High School. Those looking for private Christian K-12 education can enroll their children in Ankeny Christian Academy.
Ankeny is also no stranger to higher education. Des Moines Area Community College, with an enrollment of nearly 60,000 in college credit or business training classes, has a 304 acre campus in Ankeny. DMACC offers two-year degrees, transferable college credit and continuing education. Also in Ankeny is Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, which offers a faith-based education that trains the Christian teachers, pastors and musicians of the future. Simpson College and Upper Iowa University offer centers in Ankeny.
