Chamber Welcome Letter

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce, we welcome you to Grinnell, the “Jewel of the Prairie.”

The Chamber of Commerce continues to be the front door of the community to the rest of the world. Our mission is to provide leadership, opportunities and services which promote and strengthen business and commerce and to enhance economic, governmental and social development in the Grinnell area.

Our historic downtown offers unique shopping with a small-town twist. Wander into any number of specialty stores in search of that perfect gift. Experience one of our art galleries. Delight in the classic architecture that helped place the entire downtown on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce also serves as the Grinnell Convention and Visitors Bureau, bringing many bus tours, conventions and visitors to the area every year. These groups enjoy our historic downtown and neighborhoods.

We truly believe our outstanding educational resources, attractive architecture, recreational activities, comprehensive medical services, retirement facilities and progressive business environment create a quality of life community.
