A Strategic Plan guides every decision made in the Keokuk Community School District and growth is tracked annually with the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. With computer labs in each building, Keokuk schools are structured toward the next century in the mission of helping all to reach their highest potential. Higher Education

Southeastern Community College, Keokuk Campus, is recognized for its program excellence, offering Associate of Arts degrees. Continuing and Extended Education courses provide opportunities for personal enrichment and for updating or increasing employment skills.

Four-year schools within close proximity include Iowa Wesleyan in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa (45 miles); Culver Stockton College in Canton, Missouri (30 miles); Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois (45 miles); and the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa (90 miles).
