Greetings from Marshalltown
Marshalltown is a progressive city offering residents a comfortable, affordable place to raise a family. We have all the elements of a great community: an airport; first-class regional medical facility and clinics; a new, state-of-the-art YMCA/YWCA; a new aquatic center; a brand-new library; two local papers; five radio stations; a television station; a community college with links to the four-year Buena Vista University; a historic downtown; excellent schools; and vibrant, diverse businesses with a dedicated workforce.
In addition, our community center houses one of the finest collections of French Impressionist paintings in the Midwest, located next door to an outstanding community theater. An art association also provides an outlet for our many talented citizens.
Other educational pursuits are available at the nearby Iowa State University, University of Iowa and University of Northern Iowa within driving distance.
Marshalltown is also the home of the Iowa Veterans Home, which cares for 700 of those men and women who have given so much to our nation.
Marshalltown has a variety of service clubs, offering our citizens ample opportunities to get involved and give back to our community.
Most importantly, we are a forward-looking community. Several important bond issues have been supported with outstanding percentages. Marshalltown is investing in itself for the future.
