• THE HARVESTER GOLF CLUB An upscale, public course, the Harvester Golf Club invites players of all skill levels to experience the best of Central Iowa golf. Established in 2000, the renowned Keith Foster-designed course is enveloped by a serene backdrop characterized by wooded areas, two ponds and an 80-acre lake. The Harvester Golf Club is ranked as Iowa’s No. 1 golf course (public or private) by both Golf Digest and Golfweek and is also ranked nationally inside the top 100 public courses by each publication. Supplementing the 18-hole course is an award-winning golf shop, a beautiful clubhouse with ample space for group gatherings and with the View Bar & Grill. Individual lessons are part of the package, as are entertaining group clinics and specialty schools.

• IOWA SPEEDWAY The year 2006 marked the inaugural season at Iowa Speedway, a Rusty Wallace Signature Series Track. The modern Iowa Speedway stands as the first driver-designed speedway, featuring a 7/8-mile Tri-Oval course eclipsed by the 25,000-seat grandstand. The Speedway’s calendar is teeming with the most exciting racing events around, with Indy Car, NASCAR and everything in between gracing the pavement of this superior motorsports facility. While Iowa Speedway is a state-of-the-art haven for professional racers, it is not just a great place to watch. The facility offers an 1/8-mile drag racing schedule, along with the G.A.S.S. Driving School for those interested in participating in professional instruction or a Ride-Along to feel the high-speed action.

• JOHN ERNEST VINEYARD & WINERY Sample delicious Iowa wines while enjoying great entertainment at the family-owned and -operated John Ernest Vineyard & Winery. The Kopsa family offers more than six years of experience in producing a wide variety of grapes, including Edelweiss, LaCrosse, Foch, Fontenac, St. Croix, St. Pipen, Einset, Concord and Catawba. Savor several dry, semisweet and sweet wines paired with tasty foods, and end the visit with a trip to the winery’s charming gift shop.
