Accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, Skiff Medical Center houses 68 beds in its primary care facility. Standing as one of the largest employers in Jasper County, the medical center offers a number of health services, as well as encompassing physicians with expertise in a variety of medical specialties. These specialties include allergies, cardiology, dermatology, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, oncology, occupational health, pediatrics, radiology, urology and many more. Skiff also offers several classes for new parents, as well as support groups and clinics.

The Newton Clinic P.C., situated at 300 North 4th Avenue East, is a multi-specialty clinic owned and run by 16 local health providers and comprised of 60 full-time employees. In addition to the clinic’s 24-hour Physician On-Call service, the health facility specializes in family practice, OB/GYN, internal medicine and podiatry.
