The Oskaloosa Area Chamber & Development Group create a Calendar of Events every year to mark the festivals and events not only for Oskaloosa but for all of Mahaska County as well. Some of the events which take place during the year are: the New Sharon Spring Festival, Barnes City Fun Days, an ice cream social, Oskaloosa IMCA American Stock Car Shootout, and a Bluegrass Festival. These are only a few of the calendar events which take place annually. Other events may be found in the Arts and Culture section of this brochure.
