Two four-year colleges are located in Oskaloosa. The first is William Penn University. William Penn is a liberal arts college with roughly 1,100 students. This college was founded in 1873. The second college is Vennard College, a non-denominational Christian college with 100 students from around the world. Indian Hills Community College, located in nearby Ottumwa, is an easy drive from Oskaloosa. Indian Hills Community College also has a satellite lab where Mahaska County residents can access some classes and training locally.
