The business community and civic leaders of Shelby County are committed to a strong public-private partnership that welcomes industry and retail businesses and works with existing businesses to assure that a favorable business climate flourishes.

The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce supports area businesses and retailers, providing strategies that can help them become more successful. The Chamber facilitates meetings with organizations that have common goals, and assists them with collective strategies that help them grow. Since 1995, there have been 62 business expansions and 61 new businesses have opened.
