Chamber of Commerce
Greetings from the Washington, Iowa, Chamber of Commerce! Our organization was established in 1935 “To create a progressive business climate and to promote a high quality of life in the Washington Community.” The Chamber of Commerce is currently over 220 members strong. Twelve committees, consisting of over 200 volunteers, plan for various annual special events, networking and educational opportunities, tourism, and downtown initiatives, along with multiple options for business exposure. The active cast of committee volunteers helps make Washington a great place to live and do business.
The Chamber of Commerce staff is made up of two individuals who report to a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is made up of a diverse group of individuals who represent a cross section of the total membership. They provide leadership and guidance as Washington plans for the future.
We hope that whether you are looking at Washington from the perspective of a resident, a business or a visitor, you will visit our new offices located in the historic Bryson Block Building in downtown Washington or peruse our website. We are proud to call Washington home.
