On behalf of the Town Council and residents of the Lake Arthur area, I welcome you to visit our beautiful town. Lake Arthur is a short 10-mile drive south off Interstate-10 from Jennings, LA.
During your visit, take a leisurely stroll in our beautiful park and on the boardwalk that expanses out over the lake. Our park is an 11-acre facility that features a beach area for sunning and swimming, numerous picnic pavilions with barbeque grills and playground areas with equipment for the young children to enjoy. Paddle boat, paddle board, kayak, tube and beach chair with umbrella rentals are available at the Lake Arthur Beach. Huge century-old live oak trees are throughout the park for shade, as well.
On beautiful Lake Arthur, you can enjoy boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing, as well as observe the abundant wildlife in the area. The bald cypress trees and majestic live oak trees that surround the entire lake add to the scenic beauty of the area.
Memorial Day weekend, thousands of people flock to Lake Arthur to attend the two-day Lake Arthur Regatta. Experience the culinary talents of many food vendors while listening to some of the best regional musicians along with viewing sailboat racing on the lake.
Lake Arthur also hosts a Mardi Gras Run and Parade, a Bike and Classic Car Rally, Riverfest, 4th of July Festival, a downtown Halloween event for children and adults, as well as other events here in Lake Arthur.
While here in our town, be sure to visit one of our local restaurants where you will enjoy an excellent, authentic Cajun meal. We are fortunate to be located in a region with access to the freshest seafood, as well as an abundance of our local favorite, crawfish.
Welcome to our beautiful town and please come back and visit us again.
