There are plenty of things to do for fun in and around Gorham. With its proximity to the Atlantic coast, along with many other lakes and ponds, Gorham is a fisherman’s delight. The picturesque beaches are also great for swimming, strolling along or simply taking a nap. Golfers can pass the time by playing the 18 holes at Gorham Country Club.

If shopping is your bag, then check out the Gorham Emporium, it features all kinds of antiques, collectibles and unique furniture and decorations for around the house. History buffs will want to check out Babb’s Bridge, Maine’s oldest covered bridge. The bridge was built in 1843 and was rebuilt in 1973 after a fire; it stands just outside of town.
