The Augusta Civic Center is one of northern New England’s most popular sites for conventions, meetings, concerts and trade shows. The Civic Center, only an hour’s drive for three-quarters of the state’s population, is adjacent to the Augusta/Belgrade exit of Interstate 95.
The Civic Center’s Paul G. Poulin Auditorium accommodates nearly 7,000 people for concerts, can serve as an exhibit hall or function as a large banquet facility.
The Center has its own kitchens and can serve a varied banquet menu to groups as large as 2,000. There are 23 other meeting rooms for smaller functions. The luxuriously decorated North Wing features the Augusta Room for up to 500 diners. In 2002, the Civic Center completed a $4 million expansion and renovation project. Phone: (207) 626-2405. 2
