Mt. Apatite in Auburn has miles of hiking and cross-country trails as well as active mining for Maine tourmaline.

Dozens of beautiful lakes for fishing and boating are within 15 miles of Lewiston and Auburn. Campers can take advantage of the campsites and amenities at many of the nearby lakes. From Motocross to Ring Toss, the twin cities of Lewiston and Auburn are “The Heart of Maine.”
