Weekly Concerts in The Square
Weekly free entertainment and shows from Capricorn Productions every Monday and Tuesday evening at 7p.m.

Fireworks in The Square
Professional fireworks display every Thursday evening. A fun event for the entire family. Approximately 9:45p.m. next to the Pier (sponsored by Palace Playland, The Pier, Town of OOB, BRASS and OOB Chamber of Commerce).

Ocean Park Music Festival

January 1 • Annual Lobster Dip
Watch or join in as over 300 participants dip into the chilly waters as a fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics of Maine. On the beach in front of the Brunswick Hotel. Sponsored by the Portland Rugby Club. 207-879-0489

March • Easter Egg Extravaganza
Great family fun for all ages featuring a parade, Easter egg hunt, the OOB Bunny costumed character, animal balloons and other fun-filled games. Parade on Old Orchard Street begins at 10:30 a.m. and other events begin at 11:00 a.m. in Memorial Park. All free to the general public. 207-934-0868. Sponsored by Town of Old Orchard Beach.

May • Beerfest
All-day event featuring over 30 microbrews and live music on the pier. 207-934-3595

May • Memorial Day Parade
The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion of Old Orchard Beach co-host this 1 p.m. annual parade. 207-934-5043

June • La Kermesse
Largest Franco-American festival in Maine. This carnival-like weekendhighlights culture, entertainment, tradition and food. Waterhouse Fieldin Biddeford. 207-283-1889

June • Pier-A-Palooza Music Festival
A locals music festival featuring upcoming musical talent. On the pier. 207-934-3595

June • Annual Cpt. Christopher S. Cash Memorial
5K and 2.5 Mile Walk
Time of run: 8:30 a.m. Time of walk: 8:40 a.m. Kid’s Fun Run: 7:45 a.m. Start/Finish E. Emerson Cummings Blvd. FMI: 207-934-2360 or www.RunForCashOOB5K.com. Proceeds benefit Memorial Scholarship Fund.

July • Parade and Annual Sandcastle Contest – Ocean Park
Come enjoy a parade and band concert with line and square dancing. Sandcastle contest on the beach. Fun for the entire family. 207-934-9068

July • Annual Greek Heritage Festival
Weekend-long festival celebrating homemade Greek food, pastries, music and dancing. Church tours, bookstore, crafts and many activities for children. Live Greek band on Friday and Saturday evening. St. Demetrios Orthodox church in Saco. 207-284-5651.

July - August • Salvation Army Pier Ministry
Week-long evening entertainment in The Square featuring vocalists,magicians, bilingual speakers, bands and other entertainment. Paradeof witness. Annual golf tournament. Volleyball beach blast. 207-934-2024

August • Illumination Night – Ocean Park
Ocean Park community lights their homes during the 19th annual Festival of Lights. Band concert and strawberry shortcake are special favoritesduring this event. 207-934-9068

August • Annual Beach Olympics
Three days of fun competition, music, displays and a presentation tobenefit Special Olympics Maine. Held on the Beach, in The Square andsurrounding area. All welcome.

August • Annual 5k Race
Enjoy a kid’s “fun run” or adult 5k through town with T-shirts and medals for the kids and other awards for divisional winners. All are welcome.

September • Tow Truck Meet & Parade
17th Annual Show provided by the Towing and Recovery Association of Maine. Includes driver skill tests, police and fire demos, parade, awards and other fun events. Memorial Park.

September • Tri-State Fishing Tournament
Catch and release for striped bass and blue fish on the beach. 207-934-9991.

September • Bikefest on the Pier
All day motorcycle showcase with live music, a giant pig roast and vendors. Ride your motorcycle on the pier! Hundreds of motorcycles on display. 207-934-3595

car show

September • Annual Car Show
Car show with many divisions, entertainment, trophies and awards. Friday night lineup on Main Street with parade and car show on Saturday. Great family fun for all. Sponsored by State Farm Insurance.

December • Celebrate the Season by the Sea
15th annual tree-lighting event with free horse-drawn hay wagon rides, face painting, entertainment, hot chocolate and food. Frosty, Rudolph, and Santa’s head elf are on hand. Bonfire and caroling on the Beach and holiday bazaar. Have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who arrive on a fire engine, making this a very special tradition and holiday event.
