"Rural Oasis"
Considered a “rural oasis,” Stow has a vast supply of recreational opportunities. Pine Bluff beach, tennis, hiking, ice skating, and cross country skiing are among the town’s attractions. Located 25 miles west of Boston, Stow’s proximity to major cities compliments its rural atmosphere. The town’s largest industries include five apple orchards and four golf courses, which are recognized as some of the best golf courses in the state. A private airport and Lake Boon, which has become an attractive year-around residential area are sources of pride to the community. Approximately 6,300 people reside in Stow.
