Greetings, As you look through our publication, you will find a community whose landscape has been transformed from one of farms and mills to one of large residential neighborhoods, a diverse business base, parks and recreational areas, historic landmarks, and residents with a small town spirit.

Memories of the town’s history are kept alive by the likes of resident farmer Gil Griggs, Town Historian Margaret Ingraham, Marion Potter, the Historical Society, and many others who remind us of our responsibilities to the past while planning the present and the future.

We welcome you to our town, which prides itself in community involvement, from the Recreation Department, to the Health Department, to the many Town Committees and local organizations and, most especially, to the Town Meeting form of government.
