The Billerica Health Department (978-671-0931), with Jack Morris as Director and Cheryl Marland as Public Health Nurse, is responsible for the protection of the public health, welfare, and environment in the Town of Billerica. The Department also provides mammograms, cholesterol screenings, flu shots, and other health related services to the community.

The Health Department, the Recreation Department and several area companies sponsor the annual Billerica Health Fair, held the second Saturday in April. The Fair provides the community with the opportunity to learn more about the local medical and recreational services by directly interacting with the businesses and community organizations that are on hand with free literature, cholesterol and diabetic screenings, massage therapy, child ID program, the Lion's Eye and Hearing testing and more.

The area is also supported by a number local medical facilities, with easy highway access to others in Boston and surrounding communities.
