Thanks to the efforts of the Recycling Committee, recycling is available on a weekly basis through BFI, the town’s trash collection service. Free access to information, materials and services for all residents is provided by the Billerica Public Library, which strives to stimulate ideas, promote and facilitate literacy in all forms, advance knowledge, and encourage lifelong learning. It houses over 100,000 items as well as provides access to the Internet and an interlibrary loan program. Visit their website www.billericalibrary.org. Due to the increasingly aging population, the Council on Aging is an agency in demand. Their services include weekly and monthly health testing such as diabetes and cholesterol - games, dancing, arts and crafts - stress and weight management and relaxation - nutrition counseling - workshops - respite/companion care - etc. Contact the Council at 978-671-0916.
