There are more than two dozen churches in the City of Chicopee. The Chicopee Falls United Methodist Church on Broadway is among the oldest, built in 1841-42. Directly across the street is the First Central Baptist Church built in 1878. St. Stanislaus Basilica, built in 1908, is located on Front Street and is a fine example of Baroque Revival architecture with its twin spires. The numerous other churches throughout the city display a variety of architectural styles.
