The Ionia Free Fair Grounds host many different attractions during the year—including concerts, auto shows, races, conventions, antique shows, H.O.G. Rendezvous, and the B-93 Birthday Bash. Every summer, Michigan comes to Ionia for the Free Fair. It is the world’s largest Free Fair, and features nationally recognized talents, horse and tractor pulls, agriculture and home arts exhibits, commercial displays and a classic midway.
The Ionia Library has more than 26,000 holdings, and is housed in what many publications call one of the most beautiful buildings, faced with Ionia sandstone and of Italianate design. Ionia County societies seek to preserve the history of the area. Another majestic structure is the Ionia Theatre, which hosts many special concerts and first run movies on its stage and two screens.
