Recreation
The City of Mason and the surrounding townships offer a variety of settings and opportunities for fun and enjoyment. Within the city limits, six city parks offer tennis courts, a skate park, ballparks, playgrounds and picnicking facilities. Township and county parks offer ballparks, cross-country skiing, canoe rental, swimming and picnicking. Private recreation opportunities include short-track auto racing, three golf courses, a bowling center, volleyball courts, trapshooting and miniature golf. Mason is also the home of the annual Ingham County Fair and the Michigan Steam Engine and Threshers Club Annual Reunion.
