On behalf of the Plainwell and Otsego Chambers of Commerce, welcome to the Twin Cities. We invite you to share in our high quality of life away from the hectic urban areas.

The Otsego and Plainwell Chambers of Commerce, in a joint effort, are producing this community profile and directory for the communities. The Plainwell Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 30th anniversary in 1999, and in 2001 the Otsego Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 40th anniversary, both striving to serve the businesses in their communities. The Chambers’ goal is to promote economic growth and development in the Twin Cities area.

Each Chamber is comprised of 11 volunteer business minded individuals who serve on the board of directors. Their performance and contribution is vital to the success and growth of the Chambers. Both Boards of Directors are policy-making branches that approve the annual budgets, receive and decide committee recommendations, and direct the general activities of the Chambers.

The two Chambers serve the businesses as well as the community by sponsoring joint activities throughout the years, such as Professional Office Staff Day and the Otsego/Plainwell Area Map. The Plainwell Chamber of Commerce is currently helping to sponsor the Otsego Chamber of Commerce Corvette Raffle. Both communities host an annual festival. Plainwell’s Island City Festival takes place the last weekend in July, and Otsego’s Creative Arts Festival takes place on the fourth Saturday of September. These festivals are an intregal part of each community and offer a variety of activities for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.

The Chambers provide a relocation packet for new residents, or those considering a move to the Twin Cities area. The Chambers also provide the Chamber and Business News that is distributed countywide through the local newspapers to over 11,000 people on the first Thursday of the month. Chamber members also have the opportunity to utilize the Chamber bulk rate mailing stamp, receive referrals from the Chamber office, and many more benefits that Chamber members may take advantage of.
