The Plainwell and Otsego communities are located within close proximity to US 131, which runs north and south, and I-94 which can be easily accessed by US 131. Also running directly through both communities is M-89.

Located near many major metropolitan areas in Michigan, the Twin Cities are only 15 miles from Kalamazoo, and 45 minutes from Grand Rapids, which is Michigan’s second largest city.

There are transportation hubs located in Kalamazoo. The nearest major airport is the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, located in Kalamazoo. Also in Kalamazoo are both an Amtrak train and Greyhound bus station. Plainwell offers a smaller airport with a lighted asphalt runway measuring 2,650 feet.

Both communities offer UPS service and there are 13 motor freight companies as well. The shipment transit time is one day by truck or rail to Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit. By rail to New York, shipment transit time is approximately four to five days, and two days by truck.
