Several large corporations call the Twin Cities home. Industries and businesses located in Otsego include Parker Hannifin, which produces fittings and acutators in the three divisions located in Otsego. Parker Hannifin employs 950. Menasha Paperboard Divisions produces corrugating material and employs 250. The Rock-Tenn company, producers of paperboard, employ 220. Safari Technologies, a producer of auto testing equipment, employs 100, and Tengam, with 50 employees, produces magnets.

Located in Otsego Township is McPherson Plastics, producers of custom injection molding, employers of 110 people. Production spray painters, Benchmark Coaters, which employs 30, are also located in Otsego Township.

The Plainwell area also has a broad array of business and industry. Locals and visitors alike know Plainwell for its delicious ice cream. Plainwell Ice Cream Company has been owned and operated by Art and Judy Gaylord for 23 years. Plainwell Ice Cream Company is a family business, as their son David and daughter Laura Girolami, also assist with the business. The family makes all of their ice cream, and in the course of a season they carry 60-65 different flavors. The family also runs a wholesale business with regional distribution of their ice cream year-round.

Murco, Inc., is another important Plainwell industry. A beef processing facility that has joined alliances with Packerland Foods, Murco, Inc. has been in the Murray family for over three generations.

Plainwell also has an industrial park that is located at the eastern edge of the city. Composed of a variety of businesses that have been housed there for many years, along with those that are just moving in, the industrial park has over 30 businesses.

With their accessibility to Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, as well as three major highways, and the source of a well-trained work force, the Twin Cities make an excellent location to establish a business. The Twin Cities welcome new businesses and new employees of existing businesses to their communities.
