The metropolitan area of Minneapolis/St. Paul is the 13th largest metro area in the U.S. As a result of the growing population, the Forest Lake area is experiencing increased commercial/industrial development. Currently, Forest Lake has two industrial parks, and a third area includes 40 acres zoned for industrial development. Gander Mountain, Polaris Industries, Target, Wal-Mart and ZieglerCAT are just a few of the major commercial enterprises that have chosen to locate here.
