The Forest Lake Police and Fire Departments provide 24-hour service to the area. Currently, the police department includes 22 full-time and seven part-time officers. Forest Lake’s 30-member volunteer fire department serves an area of about 100-square miles, and responds to approximately 350 alarms a year. Immediate police and fire response for all Forest Lake Area communities is available through the 911 emergency system.
