The Forest Lake Public Library has over 45,000 items for adults and children, including books, magazines, compact discs, and both video and audiocassettes. In addition, the library provides Internet access, pre-school story times, and a countywide reading program. Masquers Theatre has entertained the Forest Lake Area using local talent since 1977.

The Lakes Area Chorus twice advanced to the Sweet Adelines international contest. The group gives an annual show, takes part in parades and delights local audiences.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Forest Lake Area has many beautiful lakes and parks to enjoy. Picnic tables, tennis and volleyball courts, plus baseball diamonds are available, along with many playgrounds for community use.

This beautiful area of Minnesota offers unlimited opportunities for swimming, fishing, hiking, boating, ice hockey and golf. Choose from a private 18-hole or several area public nine and 18-hole courses. The 23,000-acre Carlos Avery Wildlife Management Area is also nearby.
