Visitors can find a wealth of recreation in the northeast suburbs, both indoors and out. One of the most popular destinations is Falcon Heights, which hosts the Minnesota State Fair every summer.

City- and county-owned parks abound, and Ramsey County’s many lakes provide lovely settings for water sports, fishing, and boating.

Oakdale boasts a band shell for outdoor summer concerts, and two communities offer indoor pools. Shoreview’s Community Center and Complex houses the Twin Cities’ only indoor water park, and Maplewood’s state-of-the-art community center has a lap pool and a leisure pool with 120-foot water slide.

Big-city attractions like theaters, professional sports, music, art, and museums are just a short drive away in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
