Richfield is blessed with location. Located next to the three large cities of Minneapolis, St. Paul and Bloomington, and being located directly west of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, our location gives Richfield residents access to the entire world in 15 minutes or less.
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is one of the busiest airports in the world with nearly a half million takeoffs and landings each year. MSP is ranked among the top five airports worldwide for overall customer satisfaction. Major elements of a $3.2 billion expansion program were recently completed, adding a runway, increased parking capacity, and has all together made the airport more efficient, safer and more enjoyable for travelers.
A light rail transit system (LRT) has been put into operation, which allows quick, easy access to downtown Minneapolis from the Mall of America (MOA) in east Bloomington and the International Airport area. This 11.6 mile route links the large economic and job centers in the region. Parking at the MOA and at nearby Fort Snelling give Richfield residents a convenient way to use LRT to attend games of the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, or Timberwolves, attend theater, or dine downtown. In coming years, the LRT line will link Richfield with areas to the west as far as St. Cloud, and to the east to the State Capitol and downtown St. Paul.
When we say Richfield is close to everything, it is not just a boast.
