Founded in 1886, St. Cloud Hospital transformed from a small community hospital into the region’s largest healthcare facility. St. Cloud Hospital is part of CentraCare Health System, a leading medical network of three hospitals (St. Cloud, Long Prairie and Melrose), plus four long-term care facilities, 11 clinics and a variety of outreach services to more than 25 communities located throughout central Minnesota. The 489-bed regional medical center, which has earned Magnet Hospital designation for nursing excellence, offers a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services—from state-of-the-art care for heart disease and cancer to preventive health screenings and behavioral health counseling. More than 4,300 employees, as well as a medical staff of nearly 400, comprise St. Cloud Hospital—making it the largest employer in the area. Not only has St. Cloud Hospital earned recognition as a “Top 100 Hospital” and a “Top 100 Heart Hospital” by Thomson Reuters, a nationally recognized healthcare benchmarking program, it is also listed as one of “America’s Best Hospitals” by U.S. News and World Report (2005-2007).

An independent, multi-specialty, multi-site clinic, the St. Cloud Medical Group has been serving the area for more than 80 years. The group has established itself as a trusted source for high-quality medical care. ST. CLOUD VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER
For more than 85 years, the St. Cloud VA Medical Center has been providing outstanding healthcare to American veterans from all over Minnesota. Each year, more than 32,000 patients are served through the center. Extended care and rehabilitation, mental health, primary care, social work and specialty care are the main programs offered through the facility, which is also equipped with a pharmacy that processes more than 5,000 prescriptions a day.
